I broke my finger a few weeks back whilst on tour with Box Elders. I’m assuming it’s healing and the splint will be off on 22nd January…booking a bunch of dates at the moment and organising more releases n stuff.

We rehearsed at the weekend so we have some new songs for our shows with Box Elders. We were getting pretty bored playing the same songs. Got some T-Shirts and tapes for the tour and the last handful of 7″s.

There’s another band called Mazes from Chicago…they’ve changed their name to ‘The Better Mazes’ LOL and now they seem to be called the English Mazes. They mailed us a while back suggesting maybe one of us should change our name…to our shame, we forgot to reply. Oh dear. Anyway they’re pissed off

Completely pointless gig on Saturday at the Old Blue Last. Heckler kept telling me to smile and another dude sat at the edge of the stage with his back to us. Jay poured a full pint down his back and a tray of spilt sambuca… we got him back in the lamest way possible. We’re super selective with gigs but occasionally one slips throgh the net where we end up demoralised and feeling sorry for ourselves.

Finally something seems to be happening in Manchester. We’re playing a house party tonight with Spectrals. Just me and Jay, so it’s more like ‘maz’ than ‘mazes’ but we’ve both got the day off tomorrow, so expect two loud mouth, smartass morons by midnight. We’ve got about 7 new songs that I’m going to persuade Jay to try out, so yeah…not to be missed.

we’re on this tape with some other folks like Cold Pumas and La La Vasquez plus some rare Crocodiles track.
